Covering 2 hectares, the Nacha Sa Thai Chue Shrine, also known as the Thep Sathit Phra Kitti Chaloem is an impressively vibrant display of Chinese architecture and Buddhist imagery. From the entrance gate, to the pagoda-style shrines, to the 4-storey temple building, every surface is brightly colored and covered in dragons, clouds, and countless deities like the l000-handed Bodhisattva Kwan. Within the main temple, each floor has its own range of gods, which attract visitors and faithful alike, and once you reach the top floor, you're rewarded with a view of the sea. While it is an active place of worship, the shrine is also very welcoming - there are even instructions posted at the Taoist shrine on how to pray to each of the 24 deities.

Created by Thai millionaire Khun Lek Viriyaphant, Muang Boran, is a huge open air museum, with 115 buildings spread out over 240 acres. Thailand’s historic sites are dotted around the country, so Viriyaphant created replicas of some of the most important, allowing visitors to experience the country’s key landmarks. Here you can see the Rattanakosin era Dusit Maha Prasat Palace (which is in the Grand Palace in Bangkok), the Noen Prasat of Sukhothai era Wat Mahathat, and the Ayutthaya empire’s Sanphet Prasat Palace (which was destroyed during the Burmese invasion in 1767, but rebuilt according to ancient records), without having to travel hours to reach them. There’s even an active floating market where you can purchase souvenirs or traditional food. While it’s possible to walk the park, we’d recommend renting a bicycle to make your visit even more pleasant! For more information, please visit http://ancientcitygroup.net
Muang Boran, also known as Ancient City, is the world's largest outdoor museum spanning 320 acres. This cultural park features over 100 scaled replicas of Thailand's most significant historical sites and monuments. Your 4-hour visit allows time to explore this comprehensive collection of Thai architectural styles and cultural heritage, providing an overview of the entire country in one location.
Nacha Sa Thai Chue Shrine is a sacred Buddhist temple known for its Chinese architectural influences and beautiful golden dragon sculptures. Many Thai visitors come here to pray for good fortune and success. During your 2-hour visit, you can observe traditional worship practices, admire the ornate decorations, and experience the peaceful atmosphere of this spiritual site.
Muang Boran is vast, so renting bicycles or golf carts is recommended to cover more ground during your 4-hour visit. These can be rented at the entrance (approximately 100-400 THB) and aren't included in your Daytrip service. Your driver will wait while you explore independently, allowing you to move at your own pace through this expansive outdoor museum.
Muang Boran is arranged geographically to represent Thailand's regions. A suggested route follows the provided map in a clockwise direction, starting from the Central region and moving through the North, Northeast, and South. This organized layout helps you appreciate Thailand's regional architectural differences during your 4-hour exploration.
Early morning (8-10 AM) is ideal for visiting both sites to avoid midday heat, especially for Muang Boran's outdoor setting. Weekdays are less crowded than weekends. The cool season (November-February) offers the most comfortable weather for exploring these predominantly outdoor attractions during your 2-hour and 4-hour visits.
Muang Boran's replicas preserve Thailand's architectural heritage, including structures that have been damaged or no longer exist. Some replicas are scaled-down versions while others are full-size reconstructions. These meticulously crafted models help visitors understand Thailand's historical evolution and cultural diversity, making your 4-hour visit an educational experience.
Both locations offer dining options. Muang Boran features several restaurants serving Thai cuisine, while smaller food vendors can be found near Nacha Sa Thai Chue Shrine. Your driver can recommend meal timing that works with your 2-hour and 4-hour exploration schedule. Consider having lunch at Muang Boran's floating market area for an authentic Thai dining experience.
