The Amalfi Coast’s most photogenic village tumbles down cliffs in a cascade of peach-and-pink houses. It’s Instagram-famous for a reason, but secret corners remain.
Start your leisurely tour of Positano with a trip to Via dei Mulini, where you can spend 30 minutes shopping for linen and handmade ceramics. Then visit Spiaggia Grande, the serene pebble beach offering iconic views across the water. After an hour, visit Santa Maria Assunta, where you can see a Byzantine Black Madonna. Then, hike along part of the Path of the Gods (this can take several hours, but you can always tackle a small section). Finish your explorations with a stop at Franco’s Bar, where you can indulge in an Aperitivo with a view. Be sure to get there before 5 PM to snag one of the coveted terrace seats.
