Both villages have solid dining options ranging from casual cafes to full alpine restaurants. Grindelwald in particular has a wider selection, with several restaurants offering traditional Swiss dishes like rosti and fondue alongside stunning mountain views. During peak summer and winter ski season, it's a good idea to book the First cable car in advance to avoid long waits. The cable car and mountain activities at First require a separate admission fee not covered in your transfer price. Checking the First Grindelwald website before your trip is a good idea.
Lauterbrunnen is about 8 miles (13 km) from Interlaken, roughly a 20-minute drive. Grindelwald is around 15 miles (24 km) away, about a 30-minute drive. With a private driver, you move comfortably between both valleys without any of the logistical challenges of using public transportation.

Grindelwald sits at the foot of the Eiger and offers stunning views of the North Face. Lauterbrunnen is famous for its dramatic valley setting with towering cliffs and around 72 waterfalls. Staubbach Falls, which drops nearly 300 meters, is a short walk from the village center. You can also walk to Trummelbach Falls (admission required), stroll the valley floor trail, or simply enjoy the scenery from the peaceful village.
