Don’t let this town’s small size fool you - there’s plenty of charm packed into this tiny treasure located 70 km northwest of Buenos Aires. Some of San Antonio’s most revered art forms include silverwork and saddlery, which testify to its long gaucho and criollo heritage since the town’s founding in the 18th century. You can pay the Draghi a museum a visit to find some of these silversmith works on display, and discover local artwork depicting the town's history at the Museo Las Lilas de Areco and Museo de Arte La Recova. Then, grab a bite to eat at the main square, Plaza Ruiz de Arellano, and satisfy your sweet tooth and munch on alfajores at La Olla De Cobre, San Antonio’s mini chocolate factory. End the day with a stroll to Puente Viejo, an iconic pedestrian bridge with idyllic sunset views. We recommend planning your visit to account for the siesta hours in the afternoon.
