Berlin to Dresden and Bastei: Private day trip

Viewed from the Elbe, Dresden's skyline is dominated by the spires, domes, and towers of the city’s stately buildings. Visitors can be as adventuresome or sedate as they choose — there are walking trails for everyone. Some of the rocks are connected by the magnificent sandstone Bastei Bridge built in 1851 to replace the original wooden bridge from 1824, which remains one of the most photogenic attractions in the park. It is difficult to imagine that humans once lived among the wild and rugged nature and signs of how they used to live are still clearly visible.
