Brussels to Bruges: Private day trip

Bruges looks like a medieval painting come to life—quiet canals, old stone bridges, and buildings that haven’t changed in centuries. Start at the Grote Markt. The belfry tower still rings out over the square, and you can climb it if you're up for the view. The Basilica of the Holy Blood holds a relic from the Crusades, and the Church of Our Lady has a rare Michelangelo statue. Take a boat ride through the canals, stroll the peaceful Begijnhof, then wander the cobbled streets. End with trying some artisan chocolate or seeing some of the traditional lace, both are still made here the old way.

Kasteel van Ooidonk, near Deinze, is a fairytale Flemish Renaissance castle surrounded by a shimmering moat and manicured gardens — perfect for a quick stop and postcard-worthy photos. Its tree-lined driveway adds a dramatic touch as you arrive.
