Bus from Sorrento to Salerno
The Sita bus is the cheapest and most popular way to travel along the Amalfi Coast. Tickets are 4-11 euros depending on when you travel. Unfortunately, buses get extremely crowded, and with no air conditioning are very uncomfortable. Even so, tickets often sell out. In fact, even when you have a ticket, youâre not guaranteed a seat!
To get from Sorrento to Salerno by bus, you have to first take the bus from Sorrento to Amalfi, and once there, board another bus from Amalfi to Salerno. With the hour between bus departures, the trip takes over 3 hours, but it at least gives you the chance to explore Amalfi.
Train From Sorrento to Salerno
The train is another cheap way to travel from Sorrento to Salerno. Traenitalia and Italotreno offer affordable seats, but there are a few drawbacks.
Firstly, there's no direct route, meaning changing carriers in Torre Annunziata. Next, older trains have no air conditioning, which can be problematic in the summer, and due to strikes, it's not always the most reliable mode of transportation.

âVi visste inte vad vi skulle förvĂ€nta oss av denna resa och bokade frĂ„n Australien. Vi letade frĂ„n början efter ett enkelt sĂ€tt att resa frĂ„n Granada till Malaga.
