The last of the Rozmberk family died in 1611, which meant the Eggenberg and, eventually, the Schwarzenberg family inherited the town. Cesky Krumlov continued its steady growth until Nazi Germany invaded the Czech Republic in March 1939. After its liberation, it became part of Czechoslovakia and fell under Soviet influence until its collapse in 1991 and the demise of Czechoslovakia in 1992.

Das Ergebnis war, dass fast der ganze Bus schlief, sich nichts aus dem Monolog merkte und man oft nicht einmal ein Nickerchen machen konnte, weil die Worte so durcheinander waren. Wir kamen in Cesky an, und das Schloss, obwohl groß, kann wie die Prager Burg übersprungen werden. Die geschmückten Überreste von St. Reparat im Museum waren einzigartig. Die Stadt war überfüllt mit Touristen, aber die Aussicht vom Turm war ausgezeichnet. Es ist wie ein kleines Prag. Im Nachhinein hätte ich den Tag besser in Prag verbracht und mehr Sehenswürdigkeiten besichtigt.”
“Wir hatten eine Buchung von Prag nach Cesky Krumlov mit drei Stopps dazwischen: Karlstjen Schloss, Konopiste Schloss und das UNESCO-Welterbe-Dorf Holasovice. Unser Freund Vaclav kam pünktlich im Hotel in Prag an. Die Fahrt führte durch malerische Landschaften, und Vaclav versorgte uns mit Informationen über die verschiedenen Orte, die wir besuchten. Er war sehr höflich und sorgte dafür, dass unsere Pausen für Mittagessen und Kaffee gut organisiert waren. Die Kommunikation war kein Problem, da er gut Englisch sprach. Ich kann die Dienste von Daytrip in verschiedenen Teilen Europas sehr empfehlen.”
